Sunrise to Go: Tuesday, June 2
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Here are five stories WAVE Country will be talking about today:
1. Make way for the sun: A cloudy start to the day will take a turn for the better, as the clouds move out this afternoon and make room for sunshine and warmer temps. WAVE 3 News Storm Tracking Team Meteorologist Christie Dutton has a look at the day in her forecast.
2. Missing in Mexico: Police believe two missing children from La Grange are in Mexico with their father. Edgar Gutierrez was tracked across the border after not returning the boys to their mother Sunday.
3. Neighbors happy to see bar go: Many people who live near Phoenix Hill Tavern are happy to see the closed sign on the bar's door. Some say they've been concerned about safety in the area for decades.
4. Cursing councilman: The debate over public prayer got heated Monday when New Albany Councilman Dan Coffey called one of his colleagues a "lying piece of (expletive)." Coffey later denied using the phrase, but the mic was on.
5. Caitlyn's coming out: The world is getting its first look at Caitlyn Jenner (the olympian formerly known as Bruce Jenner). Caitlyn graced the cover of this month's Vanity Fair magazine in a Donna Karen body suit.
