Waiter arrested for using customers credit card numbers
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Louisville Metro Police Department has arrested a waiter who was doing a little more than just taking orders.
Melvin D. Evans, 60, a former waiter at Ditto's Grill, a restaurant on Bardstown Road in Louisville's Highlands neighborhood, was arrested Wednesday for using customer credit card numbers.

According to an arrest report, Evans began taking customer's credit card numbers in March of this year. The purchases were normally to book hotel rooms and food. Each purchase that Evans made was online.
Evans, who was cooperative with the LMPD in the investigation, has been charged with fraudulent use of a credit card. The total amount of money loss is still not confirmed but is expected to be more than $500 and less than $10,000.
Following his arraignment, Evans is being held on a $2,500 cash bond at Louisville Metro Corrections and is expected to be in court on Aug. 3.
