Papalino’s property for sale in Louisville’s Audubon neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB+WAVE) — The owners of Papalino’s New York Pizzeria in Louisville’s Audubon neighborhood listed the property for sale, though they’re not actively looking to leave the business.
The property on Clarks Lane that used to house Tim Tam Tavern and The Dirty Bird was listed for $825,000, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.

The Papalino’s opened in 2025. Its owners told LBF they’re not actively seeking to leave the business, and that the sale includes an upstairs apartment. The listing is meant to test market interest, rather than a definite sale.
This comes as the owners plan to open a Papalino’s Express, a walk-up pizza by the slice shop, in NuLu.
“Business has actually been good at Papalino’s, but we’ve got a lot going on,” Fred Pizzonia told LBF. “We’ve got the Papalino’s Express and a new chicken joint opening on Goss Avenue in about a month. So, I wanted to gauge the interest because we’re really focused on Goss Avenue and NuLu right now.”
The building used to house Tim Tam Tavern, which opened in 1958. It closed and later reopened under new ownership in 2018. Pizzonia’s company purchased the property in 2024. He and Allan Rosenberg, who are part of the ownership group that owns Papalino’s, opened The Dirty Bird in the space. It operated for about a year before the duo converted it into a Papalino’s location.
