LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB+WAVE) — More Humana employees are losing their jobs as the Louisville-based health insurer re-evaluates staffing needs.

According to our partners at Louisville Business First, at least one post on LinkedIn said copywriter and content creator roles were eliminated.

Humana wouldn’t say how many workers were impacted or which departments were hit but said the cuts aim to improve efficiency even as it hires for new roles in other areas.

“As we make these changes, some roles are eliminated while new roles and opportunities are created in areas that support our future direction,” Mark Taylor, director of corporate communications at Humana said in a statement to LBF. “Humana continues to maintain a large employee base in Louisville, and we remain committed to our hometown community and to supporting associates affected by these changes.”

The reorganization followed several changes to Humana’s executive leadership in recent months.
