Landscaper accused of stealing thousands faces judge

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A landscaping contractor exposed in a WAVE 3 Troubleshooter Investigation for allegedly stealing tens of thousands of dollars from his customers faced a judge Thursday.

Ready, Set, Grow Owner, Jeff Weber, appeared in Shelby County Court on felony theft charges.

A family in Shelby County said they paid Weber $13,500 for a job he never completed.

Weber's attorney told the judge the case is a civil matter and asked that she throw out the criminal charges.

The judge refused, ruling there was probable cause for the case to move forward. Weber faces two other felony theft charges on Oldham County.

WAVE 3 would like to make it clear that the person in court was not Jeff Weber of Weber Windows in Jeffersontown.
