TAYLORSVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A day after his 18-month-old son was killed in an accident, Spencer County Magistrate Brian Bayers thanked the community for their support and invited the public to attend funeral services for the toddler.
Jackson Bayers was killed Friday when he was run over by a vehicle driven by his father, Sheriff Buddy Stump said.
"He did it and didn't even know what happened," Stump said, calling it a "very unfortunate accident."

"Thank you all for the support in this devastating time for us, it helps to know how many people are here for us. Jackson was our world and he will be forever missed."
Visitation will be Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ratterman Funeral Home located at 3800 Bardstown Road in Buechel.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville. The burial will follow. Bayers said everyone is welcome at the services.
Instead of sending flowers, Bayers asked mourners to make a donation to the Jackson Bayers Memorial Fund at any Fifth Third Bank.
