Lightning strike damages Army Reserve building

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The storms that rolled through WAVE Country this morning are believed to be the cause of damage to a building a Bowman Field.
Louisville firefighters were called to 2730 Cannons Lane 11:07 a.m. on a report that lightning had struck a building. Fire crews found the chimney to the U.S. Army Reserve gymnasium with bricks missing from the apparent lightning strike.

The gym is currently not in use. No injuries were reported.
