CRAWFORD COUNTY, IN (WAVE) – A daughter who was traveling with her parents was the only survivor after their vehicle went off the roadway and overturned Tuesday.

According to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, a Leavenworth firefighter found the overturned Buick down a steep hill off of State Road 62, near Turkey Fork Road, shortly before 8 p.m.

The firefighter was able to reach the vehicle where he found the daughter, Kimberly Weaver, 57, who was conscious but trapped in the vehicle.

Leavenworth Firefighters and Crawford EMS extricated Kimberly Weaver from the vehicle. An Air Method helicopter then transported her to a trauma center in Louisville for treatment.

Kimberly Weaver's parents, Mable Weaver, 89, who was driving at the time of the crash, and Donald Weaver, 82, who was in the rear passenger seat, were pronounced dead at the scene by the Crawford County Coroner.

Crawford County officials said Kimberly Weaver suffered serious injuries that appeared to be non-life threatening.

Crawford County Sheriff Department officials said weather may have been a factor in the crash.
