JCPS Showcase of Schools helps parents decide which campus fits best for their students

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB+WAVE) — JCPS parents got the chance to check out where they want their kids to learn.

The district held its Showcase of Schools on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center.

Each campus had a booth set up to show what they can offer families.

Parents and guardians could also ask questions and figure out the best fit for their kids.

“It’s been great because each school has something different to offer,” Cindy Rowles, grandmother of a JCPS student. “So, they will explain to you everything in depth about what they offer so that they can make a decision on what they would like to do.”

The initial application period for the 2027-2028 school year opens Nov. 2 and closes Dec. 18.

The district will continue accepting registrations and applications for eligible students year-round.
