Firefighters hand out candy, meet families at Boo at the Zoo

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB+WAVE) — Local firefighters joined the ghosts and ghouls at Boo at the Zoo on Saturday.

Firefighters greeted guests in their department gear and handed out candy at the trick-or-treat station.

“Getting involved with the community is always great,” St. Matthews Fire and Rescue Firefighter Cameron Sautel said. “It’s always nice seeing firemen being in the community a little bit more casual than being on a run or on scene or anything like that … It’s always good just to see all the cool costumes and see all the families together. It’s always just a fun time of year.”

Boo at the Zoo will continue through the end of the month on Thursdays through Sundays.
